Principal Theresa Sorrells has over 15 years of experience in the environmental field.  Certified in in OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response, Sorrells holds a B.S. in Chemistry from California State University, Chico and an M.S. in Environmental Science and Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.

Ms. Sorrells’ extensive resume includes positions as a field chemist for GEO Environmental, Senior Chemist for TEG Southeast (ESN Southeast), lab manager for Millennium Laboratories, and District Manager for Alpine Field Services.  In her 15 years in the field, Ms. Sorrells has conducted on-site GC and GC/MS analysis for litigation cases, managed a laboratory, modified instrument platforms, written SOPs, developed and implemented QA/QC programs, and managed major projects for industrial, governmental, and engineering/consulting firms.

As principal owner of Alpine Remediation, Ms. Sorrells handles on-site logistics and manages multiple crews simultaneously while overseeing site investigations, designing in situ remediation plans, and operating direct-push rigs.  She has designed and injected sites with in situ media including BOS-200®, BOS-100®, potassium permanganate, sodium permanganate, sodium percarbonate, ORC®, and zero-valent iron.

 

Field Operations Manager Matt Steere is certified in OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response, holds water well driller licenses in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nebraska, and Kansas, and holds a BS degree in Hazardous Waste Management from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan.

With over 15 years of experience in the environmental field, he has worked for Core Environmental, TEG Southeast (ESN Southeast), Millennium Laboratories, and Alpine Field Services.  In his capacities as site geologist and chemist, Mr. Steere has operated direct push rigs and mobile laboratories; worked on Superfund and Army Corps of Engineer sites; helped achieve A2LA and NELAC accreditation; and developed site procedures.

Mr. Steere oversees all of Alpine Remediation’s field operations, ensuring smooth, well-run projects and managing field personnel.  His unique combination of field experience and the theory behind injection design make him a key factor in the successful completion of many projects.  Matt has experience with the following types of in situ media: BOS-200®, BOS-100®, potassium permanganate, sodium permanganate, sodium percarbonate, ORC®, Microblaze, molasses, Micro-Bac®, and zero-valent iron.
