Position at Alpine

Mr. Steere is a principal owner of Alpine Remediation since inception. Mr. Steere oversees all field operations of the business. Mr. Steere, also works as a crew member during remediation and site investigation activities, operating both the injection pumps and direct-push rigs.  Matt’s unique combination of field experience and the theory behind injection design make him a key factor in the successful completion of many projects.  

Education

B.S. in Hazardous Waste Management, Ferris State University

Licensed water well driller in Colorado, California, Arizona, Nebraska, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Texas, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, and Utah. 

Experience

Mr. Steere has over two decades of experience in environmental field. He began his career as a site geologist for Core Environmental in Bear Lake, Michigan where he managed and executed numerous environmental site assessments. Mr. Steere then joined TEG-Southeast, later known as ESN-Southeast, in Atlanta in 1994 where he operated direct push rigs and mobile laboratories. In 1998, Mr. Steere went on to work for Millennium Laboratories in The Woodlands, Texas as a Technical Manager. Matt trained new employees and was responsible for maintaining equipment and developing procedures for a variety of analytical methods. 

In 2001, Mr. Steere started at Alpine as the original employee.  Once Alpine began to grow, Matt transitioned to more of a management position where he ensures that the field employees have the equipment and knowledge needed to complete their projects effectively.  He is constantly reassessing field conditions and making changes to increase the efficiency of the field operations.  Matt’s desire to see every project through to a successful conclusion has been a major contribution to Alpine’s success.
